PEWS Program

PEWS Partnership Program is a very important part of the Gospel Rescue Ministries (GRM) family circle. PEWS is an acronym which means “Partnerships-Education-Worship-Service”, and involves various activities between GRM and the PEWS Partner churches.

GRM was started in 1906 by church workers and missionaries who wanted to make a difference with the disenfranchised of the District of Columbia. A deep faith and a desire to spread the Word of God have always been at the forefront of our mission. Our services have changed over the past 100 years; however our bedrock foundation of faith remains evident. The long-standing and faithful partnerships throughout the Washington metropolitan area (DC, Maryland and Virginia) continue with our supporters who work untiringly in many capacities: (volunteers, monetary in-kind gifts, chapel servers, etc.) as well as other means of contributing to the growth of GRM and its citizens.

Churches are the spiritual and natural partners of Gospel Rescue Ministries. Our history is full of stories of how the churches of our city and community have helped to fund and to drive our ministry to where it is today.

GRM has been blessed with long-standing and faithful church relationships in the past. The PEWS Partnership Program is one way that churches can participate with us in our ministry. The idea is to give partner churches clear and “do-able” activities that will encourage congregants to learn more about GRM and then to be moved to participate in our ministry.

It is our desire to continue the covenant relationship with our church partners through the PEWS Partnership Program because you remain a valuable and treasured piece of GRM’s legacy.
