Major Faith-Based Initiative
Our goal is to get 200 churches, mosques, and synagogues throughout the Washington DC Metropolitan Area to dedicate their sermons to recovery over the weekend and to allow at least one testimonial from a member in their congregation about the role God has played in their recovery.

Recovery Baseball Game - RFK Stadium - 2400 East Capitol Street, SE

The Recovery Baseball Game has been a partnership with the Johnson Institute and the Major League Baseball since 2003. Each tribute included pre-game ceremonies on the field, in-game billboard announcements, and special recognition for those who work tirelessly in providing treatment to encourage recovery from this disorder. The involvement of Major League Baseball in the Johnson Institute's Sports Link advances the education of the public in National Recovery Month through a highly visible sports team. This year’s event will feature a afternoon game with the Washington Nationals versus the Atlanta Braves.
