Fulton House of Hope Art/craft therapy volunteers- drawing, acting, writing, music; a family therapist for group and individual counseling for mothers and children.
School of Tomorrow Instructors, tutors for computer classes (MS Office, Dreamweaver, PC Hardware), tutors for reading.
Adminstration General office help on a short or long term basis - including database assistants, filing, accounting & bookkeeping.
Facility Painters and carpenters, particularly at the moment someone who could finish some minor construction projects around the building (such as installing locks, installing baseboards and door thresholds).
Meal Servers Individuals and small groups (maximum of 4 for lunch, 8 for dinner) of adults and youth may come to serve meals to our program participants. Please check the calendar link for the volunteer dinner schedule. If you would like to sign up to serve dinner, check the schedule, then call or email Mary Beth!
Internships From time to time, GRM offers internships to undergraduate, graduate, and seminary students seeking to get a first hand experience of urban ministry. GRM will make every effort to fulfill your course credit requirements, as well as work to give you the kind of ministry experience you are looking for.
Development Internship We are seeking an intern to assist our Development office. The position would require a commitment of 15 to 20 hours a week fulfilled during normal GRM working hours (9-5, M-F). this is a great learning opportunity for someone who is interested in the non-profit sector, social services, as well as development and fundraising. This is an unpaid internship.
Responsibilities would include: - Conduct research on prospective funding opportunities for GRM - Data entry and maintenance of donor database - Assist in designing and production of mailings to donors and partners - Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications - Demonstrated ability of MS Word, Excel, Access - Experience in office administration a plus - Strong communication skills - Demonstrated research skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
