| Gospel Rescue Ministries was established on May 12,1906 as "the Gospel Mission" to offer religious services to men. Within four years, GRM grew from those simple origins into something that would further benefit the nation''s capitol. The services expanded to include food, shelter, and work programs. That expansion has continued for nearly 100 years and is growing by leaps and bounds as we continue to seek new ways of helping people. -
Fast forward nearly a century to 1993, GRM took a new turn and established a drug treatment program for men, now called the Transforming Lives Ministry. -
In 1994, the School of Tomorrow opened its doors, adding the essential component of education to our array of services. -
GRM added transitional housing resources in 1998. -
The Fulton House of Hope women''s program was established in 2000. -
The transitional work program, Ready To Work began in 2003. -
The BEST Job Development program got off the ground in 2004. And more features and programs are on the way! Today at GRM, 100 years later, we are pleased to continue to offer help, hope, and healing to those struggling with addiction. Our hope is that through the power and grace of God, men and women in our programs will take advantage of the resources and opportunity to choose a new vision for their lives beyond the destruction of drugs, violence, and crime. |
